MORE SHIPS ENTERING. (Per Press Association—Copyright). ■WELLINGTON, September. 18. The Union S.S. Company has placed a contract with a Glasgow firm for a Cargo steamer of 270 feet, with a gross tonnage of 2-000, and a carrying capacity of about 3300 tons. It is understood that the -vessel is being specially built for -the service between Melbourne, Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelto,, and Wellington, at present maintained bv the Wainui. It is reported in the London Shippine: Journal that the Blue Star Line, which is to enter the New ZealandErgland trade in November, intends inviting tenders for two fast refrigerated ships, and may follow this order with one for a further pair. The Huddart Parker Company is also reported to be looking for another vessel. The Adelaide Steamship Company Ltd., intends, it i s stated, to order in the near future, a passenger liner for their Australian iuter-State service.
