; SOUGHT BY BENEFICIARY. OWING TO FALL IN INCOME. (Per Press Association Copyright.) WELLINGTON, Sep. 18. Application was made to the Cour of Appeal by Mrs F. J. Seymour, noi of Italy, widow, to reduce an annuit; of £350 paid out of the estate of tli j late E. W. Iloper to Mrs C. M. Prestoi (his daughetr). Mr Roper’s will to queathed the greater part of his estati to Canterbury University College, subject to a proviso that the income therefrom was to be paid to Mrs Seymoui during her lifetime. In 1927,' an order was made, Under the Family Protection Act, for the payment of the annuity to Mrs Preston, the annual income from the estate then being In the neighbourhood of £1,109. As the estate is now producing only £550 a year, Mrs Seymour appeals to have the annuity reduced. It (was intimated that Canterbury College would not be represented at the hearing. Decision was reserved.
