PRINCE OF WALES
SIiCC JEST ED WELSH RESIDENCE “The Prince of Wales should have .an official residence in Wales.” This is what a group of prominent Welshmen declare, and there is a likelihood of the Prince being offered a | country mansion in the Snowdonia. di>> ; trict. (Some months ago a member of the Caernarvon Town Council publicly stated that Welsh people, particularly t those in the North,’felt that they did not see enough of their Prince. Since i then a go up of Welshmen have con- ! sidered launching a scheme by which i .the people of Wales would offer the [ Prince the gift of a home in their midst. It is now understood that a certain - mansion in Snowdonia will be ouereu for sale in the near future, and it is thought that it would make a desireable residence for the Prince. So far the matter lias not passed the stage of private discussions, and before the scheme is brought officially before tbe people of Wales, the Prince will be approached privately and his approval sought.
