THEFT OF £460
BAG SNATCHED IN SYDNEY (Australian PressT SYDNEY, September 15. A thief at Newcastle to-day snatched a handbag containing four ' hundred pounds in cheques, and sixty pounds in cash from a girl employed at a local produce, . store. The girl was'taking the money to the bank, when a young man on the' sidewalk suddenly leaped forward, grabbed the ‘bag, tossed the ;-girl aside and decamped on a motor cycle.
