GUTTED BY FIRE
MOTOR GARAGE AT GISBORNE. TWO CARS- DESTROYED. (Per Press Association—Copyright). GISBORNE, September 15. Local enterprise suffered a setback this morning when a garage occupied by New Zealand Motors Manufacturing Coy., whose headquarters are at Gisborne, was extensively . gutted, py fire. Two cars completed, by-. the,, company as demonstration units were, practical:, lv demolished,, -hut a...smaller model, riot ve; completed.,, .escaped. Three other.,cars i-ny-;he garage - for repairs were .substantially damaged, and the fire also took toll of the expensive machinery recently -installed.- The insurances on the contents total £2435. The -building was,not seriously effected.
