FUR ROBBERY
£3OOO COUP IN LONDON. LONDON, September 12. Thieves who broke into the premises of Messrs N. Witte, manufacturing furriers, of Regent Street, London, stole furs worth more than £3OOO and escaped unseen. In the morning the caretaker discovered that the doors leading to the offices and showrooms had been Torced. The showrooms had been ransacked and all the most valuable skins, wraps and fur coats taken,' How the tliietcs entered the- building. which contains the offices of several different.firms, is ;a mystery. It is thought possible that they hid in the lower part of the building just before the doors were closed at wight. It was a daring robbery, for to get away with their haul the thieves bad to go out just olf Regent Street, ami probably make more than one journey with the bundles of furs.
