ROVER CLUB TEAM RETURNS. The Rover Ladies’ Hockey Club term -returned last evening from a successful tour in Canterbury. Two matches played in Christchurch against the Kiwi Club .last Friday and Saturday were won. by the Rovers, 6 to nil, an-d 2 to nil, respectively. The ground was veiy fost but the Rovers s°°n adapted 1 themselves t 0 these 'conditions, and played with dash -and splendid combination. After the match the' visitors were /hospitably entertained by /the Kiwi Club. Another match was played in- Timaru on Saturday against -a combined team, but Rovers were again too strgpg for their opponents and scored a victory bv three goals to nil. The visitors were entertained by the Timaru Hockey, Association at a dance in the Bay View Tea-rooms op. (Saturday evening.
