- JUDGES SENT TO CAMP. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph— Copyright.) (Received this day at 12.30 p.m.) BERLIN, September 10. Prominent Prussian, state .attorneys, Doctors Techier and Bender also Dr Herman, of the Prussian Ministry of Justice who formerly conducted- political prosecutions, were sent to a concentration camp, accused of over zealous prosecution of Hitlerites and undue leniency to “criminals of the former regime.” A well known, south German, Judge Fischer, was sent to Stuttgart concentration camp, for refusing to give tile Hitler salute in Court, as prescribed by the new regulations..
FURTHER HAPPENINGS. (Received this day at. 2.30 p.m.) BERLIN, September 10. i The Nazi, party announces, gigantic celebrations at Munich on November 9; the tenth anniversary of the famous ! Putsch, which resulted in Hitler being imprisoned. A niaximu- sentence of five years was ■ passed on a worker who allegedly insulted Hitler, at the recent Nurem--burg congress; Three others on similar charges were sentenced to shorter terms. ■ -A special court sentenced a person (who had lived in Germany for thirteen years, to two years imprisonment for circulating “atrocity reports,” under a decree of protection of the State. “Negro” and jazz dancing is .prohibited at public and private functions, during the harvest thanksgiving at Sclinialkkalden.
j ACTRESS SUICIDES. IN GERMAN CELL. (Received this day at 2.30 p.m.) PRAGUE, September 10. . Though the news has not leaked out of Germany, friends of the youthful Czech actress, Heddy Eisler, lehrnt that she committed suicide in the following circumstances. Mile. Eisler, a pretty soubrette, who frequently topped the bill at Berlin theatres, was rehearsing a short while ago when she I quarrelled with the stage mlanager, who chanced to be the head of the Nazi Cell Theatre. Eisler, losing her temner, cried : “Perhaps you were among the Nazis who burnt the Reichstag.” She was immediately arrested and then taken to Boabit prison. Nothing was heard far some days, but inquiries by Czech relatives revealed that she was found hanging from ,a nail on the cell wall following her arrest.
