BOY’S FATAL FALL 20 FOOT DROP FROM A TREE. (Per Press Association, Copyright). CHRISTCHURCH, ..Sept 10. Colin Innes, aged 11, whose parents live at Stanmore Road Riclimand, died at Christchurch public hospital, this morning, following a mil from a tree yesterday. ■ Innes was flying a kite yesterday morning in Richmond Park, when his kite became' entangled in the branches of a tall tree. The boy climbed , the tree to a height of about 20 feet, but fell and injured his shoulder. He was admitted to Christchurch Hospital and yesterday afternon was not in a serious condition, but'he became seriously jll during the night and-died late this morning. An inquest will be held this evening j and it is understood the coroner will order a post-mortem examination

MOTORIST RUNS INTO BRIDGE. INVERCARGILL, September 10. Kenneth Liimsden, A single man, aged 24, of Invercargill, was , killed while motoring home from* a suburb with two companions ylate last evening. It appears that, when negotiating New River ' bridge, a few miles from Invercargill, the steerug gear failed to respond, and the car crashed into the bridge.
