The Bureau of Statistics reported to-day that twenty-four thousand more persons were absorbed into Canadian industry in July; A survey of the industrial plants showed an aggregate pay roll of 804,219 on August 1, the highest employment level for the past twelve months. In four months, April, May, June and July, one hundred and four thousand persons were added to "the industrial pay roll. Altogether it is estimated that the number of unemployed in Canada was reduced by two hundred thousand in the past four months.
