HOKITIKA TOURING TEAM. ASHBURTON, August 28. An Ashburton representative basketball term secured a well-merited will by 121 goals to 7 over the Hokitika touring team in the Ashburton Domain on Saturday afternoon. A' second match between Hokitika and Technical. Old Girls was won by the visitors by 10 to 6. The 'Hokitika basketball team, after playing in Ashburton on Saturday} went on to Temuka yesterday where they were accorded a civic welcome by the Mayor and Mayoress. They were, taken for a drive in the afternoon 1 round the pastoral districts in South Canterbury,, and were entertained at a Maori entertainment and dance last evening. They played their final match this afternoon at Temuka.
