■ Wlien a fire occurred at midnight on '•a Marseilles mail plane, the-pilot orderled; the l wireless operator to jump out with his parachute, which was' safely 'accomplished, landing on the banks o: the river Bare, despite the darkness. The' pilot; meanwhile, mastered the fames, and despite damage to one of 'the tlirefe' engines, descended safely at 'the Lyons aerodrome.
