Corresponding -with a general advance in ' woql values, prices at a supplementary wool auction' held to-day showed a substantial advance on those ruling in. the March sale in Christchurch, And' the bulk of the entry of over 2000' bales was cleared at aucI tion, some being wool previously passed at auction, btlt now Sought by buyers. Oh .an average, fleece Wool prices to-day advanced up to 30 per cent,, on the March basis. Fine fleece advanced. 2d to 3d pur pound. Low, shabby, and dirty wool, which could not be . sold at. earlier auctions .this year, was absorbed very readily. The range of prices was as follows: Super halfbred Hid to 13id, average 9id to Hid, inferior 73d to 9id. Super .merino to lSdj average 9Jd to llfd, inferior Bid to 9id. Average crossbred sid to 7-id, inferior 3d to sd. Average three-quarterbred 7id to Bd, inferior 5d to 7d. • Super .prices 7i- to 9|d,,-average 5d to 7d, inferior 2id to 9|d, average 5d to 7d, inferior 2id to 4Jd. Super crutching 6Jd to Bid, average 4id to 6.id, inferior 2|d to 4d. Good to super bellies 6d to 9id, low,to medium 3id to 53d. Good to super locks 4d to 6d, low and medium 24 to 33d.
