FORTY-THIRD FATALITY.
LGNDON, August 8,
• Forty-three people were drowned during the August bank holiday week-end, 42 of whom were men, and the other an eight-year-old girl.
The • forty-third case reported was that of a- man at Bournemouth who remarked jokingly;- that %he was taking his paper into the water to read. “I see there have been-42 people drowned,” he said. “It would be funny if J made the forty-third,”
