Aluekland amateur provincial boxing championships were completed to-night-, the results of the finals being as follows : Flyweight ; Knock beat Bruno on points. r Bantam: Williams hadawalk-Ove r from MeLachlan, who had won ia semifinal earliar in the evening. Feather; I. Hogg beat Mainson on points. : Welter; W, Purdie beat Martin on points. 1 ‘ Middle; Neale beat Thornton on poiints. ■ Light-heavy : Painter beat Farme r on points.
Heavy: Lindsay had a - walk-over, from Farmer, who * injured hj,s back earlier in the night. . A feature of the championships was that no defender retained his title. The winner, will represent the province at the New Zealand championships af Blenheim next month.
