Mr G. R. Ashbridge has been appointed secretary of the New Zealand Educational Institute, in succession to Mr Parkinson. Air Ashbridge has -been assistant secretary for five years -and is the first person outside of the teaching professsion : to fell the secretaryship. He 'is the youngest of -seventeen chartered secretaries in New Zealand.
