IN TDAIN SMASH RAILWAY CROSSING ACCIDENT. (Per Press Association — Copyright.} I ■■■■ _ _ WELLINGTON, August 24. .A serious railway crossng accident occurred near Matainata railway station between a motor car and the north-bound Rotorua-Auckland express.

Two occupants of th© car, James Milne, aged 27, -Government herd testing officer x of Whangarei, and his wife, Ruby Milne, aged 29, were injured. Mrs Milne sustained injuries to her bead, and face and back, a fractured right arm, and severe shock. Her condition is critical. Milne sustained abrasions. The young couple were on their annual vacation.
