: TO-DAY’S REPORT. \ f A rather vigorous depression was located this morning just west of New Zealand, and is likely to cross the coun-try,-..t0-night. Tlie pressure has risen rapidly in eastern Australia, so that a fairly severe southerly is likely to follow the depression. The forecast is for strong northerly wincf§.of gale force in places, backing to strong southerlies to-niglit. Weather unsettled with rain, and on the ranges snow. Temperature becoming cold tomorrow, but conditions improving later. Seas rough.
