GIRL ABSCONDER CONCEALED.

WELLINGTON* (August; 23. . A fine of £2O, or Jn default two ’ months’ imprisonment, wa s passed D y Mi- Page, S.M., on Arthur Walters, who was jointly charged with his wife Irene Walters, with concealing a girl escapee from the Miramar Receiving Home. Mrs Walters wa s convicted and ordered to come up for sentence within twelve months if called. The police said it appeared that the girl’escaped from Burwood Home, and was subsequently located at Mrs Walters’, where she remained in employer ment for some time. She was subsequently removed to Miramar Receiving Home. She absconded and was again found at the Walters’.
