Several fore-quarters of mutton, some corned beef and a string of saveloys were the haul of thieves who* broke into the butcher’s shop of Mr Normaif Neylon, 36, Bowhill Road, North Brighton. The total loss amounted to about £1 worth. The thieves broke the hasp fastening the divided front door, and made their selection with care.
When >a youth rode his bicycle along the footpath in the busiest portion of Hereford street recently and impudently rang his bell for a pedestrian to move out of the way, lie did not realise that his warning was being given to a coastable in plain clothes. "When he appeared in the Children’s Court on Saturday, the police stated that he had been very “cheeky,” and had continued on the footpath after his name had been taken. Mr E. D. Mosley, fined the youth and ordered him to lhake an apology through Senior-Ser-geant J. Fox-to the constable.
