INFANT SUFFOCATED IN BED

OAMARU, August 21
At the Waitaki hydro works yesterday, a. three-months-old child, Ivan James Currin, son of Mr and Mrs Ivan James Currin, was found dead in his mother’s bed at 9 a.m. Death was evidently due to suffocation. The child had been taken out of the pi am and nlaced in his mother’s bed.
SUICIDE AT AUCKLAND
AUCKLAND, August 21
The death occurred yesterday at Auckland of Mr C. M. Fenwick, managing director of T. and S. Morrin and Fenwick Ltd., who was found in the office wth a gunshot wound over the heart. A member of the staff heard a shot, and found Fenwick dead in his chair, with a shot gun lying near. Fenwick was 55- years of age. He had been president of the Auckland Hardware Association.
