AUCKLAND, August 21

The restriction of' production will spell dd&aster to the financial -and economio existence of the Dominion. W c therefore ask for a gradual abolition of 'all tafifiV on British goods. We bold the opinion that a definite period should bo fixed, during which the duty reduction should be carried out on a sliding scale.
