AUCKLAND, August 18

Wirenin Katana and party whose North Auckland tour was cut short by the enforcement of the health regulations J designed to prevent the spread of sleeping sickness, passed through Auckland to-day en route home. There were over fifty in the party, including two football teams, a brass band, and number of women. A limousine and three trucks are carrying the party, one of whom said the next stopping place would probably be Mtahata. The football teams would play nboyt six more matches before reaching, home. Mr Tirikateno, M.P., said the Maoris had not defied the law in the north, and force was not necessary, as a few tactful words by Katana, would quite do the trick.
