THOUSANDS OF REDS IN RUSSIA ALLEGED DISCOVERY OF PLOTS

“‘The Times” Riga correspondent states that, following on the alleged discovery of many anti-Communist plots, the Soviet has expelled several thousands of Communists from the party, and has arrested many members as being enemies of the people. Some of these have been in key positions, and it is alleged that they are gaining advnancement by false preteneces. Transport difficulties in Russia have increased since the railways have been subjected to the emergency law. Seventy-eight transport wreckers have been arrested at one station, and there have been similar occurrences elsewhere.
The Ukranian Academy of Agriculture lias also been reorganised, and thirteen of the professors have been removed.
