Mr Ward Price,. who is'' a , correspondent with the French army in Morocco, declarer; that the French have been hindered by Berber sharpshooters; who were concealed in mountain caves, the storming of which has been the result of five days of continuous fighting. The French have now reached the '.steep lul| s commanding' the lower slopes of Mount Bad-on, which is the formidable last (stronghold of the Berbers. Aeroplane reports show there is a joncentrat-iou of the Berbers around the wells. Each tribe fights desperately under the blazing sun to defend its own little tract of barren country and scrubby herds. go far 3500 Berbers have surrendered. The men arc fierce while the women are swarthy, • handsome and tattooed. They have been placed in a concentration camp.
