CHICAGO, August 16. Two gangsters beiieved to 'be membees of a widely ramnified kidnapping gang, made , a sensational escape from am elaibov..|te trap laid 'by Federal agents armed with machine guns. The gangsters had demanded a further fifty thousand dollars from Jake Factor, who enlisted the aid of the police.

A detective, disguised as a. mesenger boy, was given money to take to a roadside resort.
