AUCKLAND, August 12. Professional contests were staged at
the Town Hall on Saturday evening
under the control of the Auckland Wrestling Association in the presence of a moderate attendance. The principal match was between A 1 Periera and Count'Varga, the latter winning with a light back loop slam in the sixth round. Periera. gained a fall in the fourth round with a press, follow-
ing 'on a succession of flying tackles. | In a bout of three ton minute rounds, Charlie Pollards, the wellknown ex-Auckland referee, defeated . Mike Sefarich, of Yugoslavia, bv one fall, gained in the second round, with ! a press, after he had jumped feet first ! at his opponent, and sent- him sprawling ou his back. Pollard’s success nroved very popular with his large following of supporters.
