At the annual conference to-day-, the New Zealand Counties’ Association approved of the amalgamation of local Bodies where it could be shown tint economies without -any loss of efficiency could be effected, Gnd it also supported the setting up of a commission of inquiry to make an impartial investigation into the subject.
