“I have pleaded guilty to charges of misappropriating moneys, and as I am unable to repay the amounts taken, I am compelled to file a petition in bankruptcy,” said a brief statement by Huddart Richards Sampson, a solicitor at a meeting of his creditors this morn-

Counsel for a client who had lost money, said that lie would be fully reimbursed by the Law Soc : ety’s fund, so that, the money laid really been stolen from'the law practitioners of New Zealand.
The Assignee said he understood that the same would apply to other defalcations. <
It was decided to leave the estate in the hands of the Assignee.
