TIMARU, July 26. -A-- A verdict in favour of defendants f was given in the Supremo ')Court today in the ,case in which Margaret Jessie Collins proceeded against the Timaru Herald Company Ltd., and Arthur Demetrius Mangos, claiming £3OOO. The-claim arose out cf an accident which occurred near the corner of Church Street West and Rathmore Street, Timaru, on the evening of June 10, as a result of which Patrick Leo Collins, husband of the plaintiff, lost his life. The car was owned by the defendant company, , and Mangos, who is in the employ of the company, was the driver. The jury returned after a retirement of seven minutes with a verdict in favour of the defendants. * Costs were awarded defendants.
