FATALLY SCALDED
MAN FALLS INTO BOILING WATER (Per Press Association —Copyright.) MARION, July 26. As the result of a tali into a tank Bfi deep, of almost boiling water on Saturday, the manager of the Rangitikei dairy factory at Bulls, James Smillie, 38, died at the hosp.tal at Marten early this morning. it appears that he was engaged in melting sugar in a tank on the root of the factory, which was half full o boiling water, when the platform collapsed precipitating Smillie up to his waist. Clinging to the edge, he was pulled to safety by two helpers, in a terribl‘e condition, but still conscious. He leaves a widow and two children. He was highly respected.
