Winooka was giyen a big ovation in his half inile trial run at Tanforan track to-day prepara-toy to bis race with Frisky Matron. There was a large crowd present at the track.

Winooka. did his run in a finished and easy style. He did a-quarter of a mile, in 23 3-osec, and half a mile in 47 1-osec. He wore a new set of colours representing the Southern Cross.

He is a three-year-okl bred in Hawaii in 1932, and was considered one of the nation’s leading two-year-olds. The weights will be the same as for the race with Frisky Matron.
