MAN FATALLY INJURED. (Per Press Association — Copyright.) WELLINGTON, July 24. Knocked down by a motor car in Manners Street on Saturday evening. John McCook, died.later in the 'Wellington Hospital. It is understood that McCook was crossing the street aboutsix o’clock when be was struck. Ho received injuries to liis bead and was removed to the hospital by ambulance. He was an ox-Imperml service, man, and is believed to have a wife in,England. FOUND DEAD IN BATH. WELLINGTON, July 24. Said to have been suffering from illhealth for some time past, Andrew MoNaughton, a hairdresser, was found dead in.-a . bath at a .boardinghouse, in Petone yesterday. Air MeNaughton, who was fifty-five years of age, was in business in Willis Street, [Wellington.
