CHRISTCHURCH, July 22. Detectives D. McKenzie and N. Kemp arrested a visitor from England whose name was given as Dr. J. C 4. Lamb, on a charge of attempting to obtain credit by fraud. It is alleged that Lamb has been negotiating with the Christchurch City Council and the heads of institutions for the gift to them of large sums of money. •‘COME TO BLENHEIM.” BLENHEIM, July 21. A Come to Benheim Week is being arranged in conjunction with the New Zealand boxing championships at the beginning of September. Preliminary finance has been raised and committees are considering an amusement programme.
