WOMAN ATTACKED
WITH SANDBAG.

AUCKLAND, July 22.
A young woman was attacked by a thief in a bedroom behind a suburban shop yesterday and struck on the temple with what is said to have been a sandbag.
The man was standing bell Mid the door when she entered the room. After striking her be jumped through the window with a cashbox containing £5, which he h ul found in a chest in the bedroom. The woman to-day is suffering from shock,
