NEW WELLINGTON FIRE STATION (Per Pres.f Association — CopyrightJ WELLINGTON, July 21. The Wellington Fire Board to-day, on the casting vote of the chairman, (Mr N. Wm. Nelson), decided in favour of the Clyde Quay school site as the location for the new central fire station, and is proceeding at once to request the Local Government Loans Board for authority to raise the necessary finance. Three City Council representatives on the Board strongly opposed the purchase of this school site, arguing in favour of the corporation vard site.

The new station, it is estimated, will cost £65,000.
