The Duke of Connaught presided, and those present included the Prince of Wales, Duke of York,’Prince Arthur, and Prince George who was • invested •as Senior Grand Varcken. New Zealand was unable to bo represented owing to tljp ill health of Lord Jeliicoc and Sir Charles Fergusson.

The Duke of Connaught was obviously affected 'when he declared he was proud to see the consummation of the great scheme. 'The spirit of freemasonry was never more needed than at the present.
