An unenviable experience befel Air •Douglas Godfrey Robinson, as lie- was riding home last evening. | As he reached the gate of his father’s | farm at about 6.30, he was startled by the sound of shots, apparently from a ledge on his right-hand side. One shot penetrated the crown -of life hat and blew his hat from his bead. The horse took fright and thew Mr Robinson, who lost no time in gaining the shelter of the- house. Before the surprised family could ask any questions, he had extinguished all the lights in the house and put down the blinds. Air Robinson lias stated to the police that lie' cannot be sure how many shots wore fired, but lie thinks about three or four.
