WELLINGTON, July 17
“As the outc.rome of negotiations with the United States Government, it is now dear that vegetables, including onions, can be exported from New Zealand to the United States under a permit,” said the Minister of Agriculture, Mr Macmillan, to-night. “As in the case of fruit.” added the Minister, ‘‘the permits 'arc granted in the United States to the importer. The present import duty is two and a half rents pry lb.”
