“Chandu. the Magician.” in film form, as introduced on the screen of tlie Princess Theatre, proves to be grand entertainment lor anybody. A breath, taking' thrill comes along on the average of every two minutes through this unique and spectacular Fox picture. The 'combination of remarkable photographic effects, weird settings along tlie glamorous Nile, and the work o> a brilliant cast, results in a most extraordinary piece of screen ,fare .
Edmund Lowe takes the dramatic honors in the title role, with Bela Lugosi as the sinister Roxor and Henry B Walthall as the inventor, Regent. Irene Ware’s beauty, Herbert Mundin’g flair for Cockney comedy and Weldon Heyburn’s villainy all add to the unusual appeal of the film. The youngsters will insist on. seeing this anyway—and the grown-ups will find in it the surprise of the year. A good supporting programme will also be shown, including Bobby Jones golf series.
