POST’S PROGRESS. A SCARED PILOT. (Received this day at 12.35 p.m.) BERLIN, July 16. Aerodrome officials were amazed, when Pcet, who seemed exhausted, announced that lie wished to continue immediately. He refused to sleep while* the machine was refuelling. He revealed that very unfavourable weather was encountered, both rain, snowstorms' and thick mist off Ireland. Once lie 1 was badly scared over the Atlantic when at twelve thousand feet Tie saw ice forming on the machine, the controls of which might have been frozen, so ‘just in time he descended to a lower altitude where a warmer air thawed the ice. Tost lost : his way between Berlin and Kohigsberg, due to bad weather and ho was forced down bv a leaky oilpipe. 'Rockets guided him to Konigsberg airport. POST ARRIVES AT. BERLIN. BERLIN, July 17Post'made a- perfect landing after twenty-five and a half hours’ flight. The machine was refuelled and Post depar - od for Novasobirsk in the afternoon. POST-DELAYED BY WEATHER (Received this day at noon). BERLIN, July 16. A thunderstorm compelled the aviator Post who has completed the first stage of a’solo flight from America, to descend at Kcmigsberg. He resumes early to-morrow morning.
