•MJr E. de Valera (President of the Irish Free State Executive), speaking in the Dail Eireann during a debate on .the economic, war-said ..that’ he was not going to . respond again to suggestions for. negbtiation 6 with Britain until lie thought that something good would come of them. 00-bpefation and goodwill would only be possible, when the evils of the, partition-, of Ireland were settled.
Mr de’Valera, said.. that his policy was not'one of ill will to‘ Britain. The issue was that' no foreign power had the. right to; have it 6 foot \in Ireland. Britain had no right, to demand, these moneys. He would eay to- the British ; “For goodness sake, stop your aggression! Then there’ will be genuine peace.”' ' A • ' -
FINANCE MEASURES -PASSED

The Bail Eireali’n has passed the estimates and the Appropriation; Bill. The measures, were passed after a. continuous sitting of 27-1. hours, marked by wildest scenes.. The Government continually applied pressure/during the debate.
