NEW YORK, July 12

A message from La Grange, in Illinois. states that John Factor, the market speculator, who was kidnapped on July Ist by an armed gang, was freed to-night in that suburb. He s'aid that he had been released by liis abductors a few minutes before.

Reports were immediately circulated that two hundred thousand dollars of a ransom had been paid by his family. Factor was driven to ,a street-car line in - a machine, it being escorted by two automobiles leaded with hood-' lums. Hei was then released and was directed to the police station. Later he' was returned to an hotel i where he w'n? placed under the care of a physician, who said that he was suffering from a nervous breakdown.
