N.Z. TROTTING CONFERENCE.

In the course of-his remarks at the close o. the Trotting Conference to-day, Mr' J. P. Stratton, president of the West Australian Trotting Association, said he had been wonderfully struck with the harmony and thoroughness in which the men controlling trotting in Xew Zealand worked. In Western Australia the Association worked on similar lines to New Zealand, and it also looked to New Zealand as a light by which it could be guided. He appreciated deeply the very true sense of sportsmanship which had been instilled into trotting in New Zealand, and he would go back to Australia with a higher opinion than ever of New Zealand trotting men. RACING DATES AMENDED. WELLINGTON, July 12. The New Zealand Racing Conference to-day approved of several alterations to racing dates, including the Reef ton Jockey Club, which was granted January G and 8 in lieu of January 5 and 6.
The application of the Greymonth J.C. for an extra day was declined, owing to there being no day available.
