LONDON, June 28
•The 'Daily Telegraph” announces that the Mount Everest committee has decided to recall the expedition. No doubt it is anxious to go on, but tho committee feel it is not justified in allowing it, in view of the enormous strain the .moil have undergone in the last eight weeks. The danger ot avalanches and the difficulty of keeping porters together during weeks ol waiting and the fear of high winds a»d snowdrifts alone, suffice to prevent climbing alter a monsoon. There is no blinking at the fact that the party has failed to reach its objective, but is retreating in good order.
