LIBEL CHARGE
BUCKLAND v. LABOUR DAILY. (Australian Press Association). SYDNEY, June 26. The case of Buckl.md (cx-Union official) versus'the Labour Daily newspaper, cabled on 31ay 26th, has been settled, Buckland’s petition for the ■winding up of tlie paper being, by consent, -withdrawn. The '“Labour Daily’s” -appeal against Buckland’s libel verdict, for £SOOO has .also been withdrawn. The terms of settlement have otherwise not been announced.
