SHOOTING FATALITY
BOY KILLED BY PEA RIFLf. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). WIIAKATANE, June 26. A shooting fatality occurred at Oliope, six miles from Whakatane yesterday afternoon, in which a, fifteen-year-old boy, Frances Dodd, was accidentally killed. .It appears, that- two cousins, Dodd and Bluett; aged fourteen years, were ascending a hill, Bluett carrying a pearifle, and, 1 Dodd leading the way. The latter .turned suddenly to speak to his companion, and'Bluett’s gun discharged, the bullet striking Dodd in the region of the heart. The injured boy succumbed on the way to the hospital.
