PRICE CONTROL BUTTER ON LOCAL MARKET. (Per Press Association—Copyright). CHRISTCHURCH, June 23. Emphatic. oppositon to the Sinclair Plan to control, the price of butter, on the local market was expressed today by Mr XV P. Agar, the newly- ', elected member of the Dairy Control; Board and managing director of tha xai Tapu Dairy Company. “Nobody, to my knowledge, would sell butter below its value op the local market, or anywhere else,”' said Mr Agar, “and therefore tho object of tha scheme is tcuobt-airi a higher price front the consumers of Kew Zealand than the commodity is worth. I think that, neither the, public nor the Government will stand for this.
