CIVIL PRISONERS
INDIA’S REDUCED NUMBER. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright;. (Received this day at 10 a.m.l CALCUTTA, June 23. The total number of persons imprisoned for civil disobedience, including 457 women, fell to 9144 at then end of May which is seventy per cent less than the number for the corresponding period last year. Only four of the fifteen members of the Congiess working committee are now actually in gaol.
