GENERAL RATE. 1933-1934. NOTICE is herby given that it is the intention of the Count3' Council of Westland at its next ordinary meeting to. be held at the County Chambers, Hokitika, at 2 p.m. on TUESDAY, July 11, 1933: ' (C To make and levy pursuant to the provisions of Sections 51-58 of the Hating Act, 1925, and its amendments, and Sections 120-121 of the Counties Act, 1920, and its, amendments, a General ltate as follows:—FOUR EARTHINGS in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Northern Hiding of the County of Westland. FOUR FARTHINGS in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Central Riding of the County of Westland. FOUR FARTHINGS in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Southern Hiding of the County of Westland. SUCH GENERAL RATE to be for the period COMMENCED on the Ist DAY OF APRIL, 1933, and ENDING ,on the 31st DAY OF MARCH, 1934, and to become due and payable in one sum on the 13th DAY OE JULY, 1933, at the office of the Westland County Council, Hokitika.

NOTE:—The Variation Rolls are open for inspection ai tile County Office, Hokitika, daily during office hours. SPECIAL NOTE:—Pursuant to the provisions of the Rating Act, and its amendments, a REBATE OF FIVE 'PER CENT, will be allowed on the current year’s rates paid by 12th DAY OF AUGUST, 1933, but not later. Copy of plai’e and specifications (with particulars of quantities—to he verified by tenderers) may he seen during office hours at the County Office, Hokitika. The lowest or any tender not 'accepted necessarily. Th© attention of intending tenderers is drawn to the alternative conditions of tendering in regard to material and scope of work. W.
